Bio

Born: 1991, Västerås, Sweden

I was introduced to the World of Fusion and Progressive Rock early by my father. He had a big vinyl collection consisting of King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Yes, Frank Zappa and many more. It sparked my interest because it didn't quite sound like the music played on the radio and it got me intrigued. I wanted to find out more and started to develop my own taste and searched for new music that would fit my "acquired taste".

Through music class in High School, I developed a liking to the drums, my music teacher at the time taught me how to play a basic beat and from there I continued to develop. Me and a few friends from my class started a band and got to perform our own songs at the auditorium when school was out for summer (pun intended).

Because of personal reasons I quit playing the drums for about 15 years, then my girlfriend at the time introduced me to an association that promotes and encourages people to be more active in the city's music scene. They had facilities which you could use for free with a cheap, but good enough, drum set. Thanks to the association I also started meeting people with bands that were looking for drummers and it got me going again. Since then, I've been studying with a tutor for a few years which has really motivated me, disciplined me and renewed my respect for the instrument.

I've been in a few bands since I joined the association, unfortunately nothing that lasted more than a few years. Then my friend Adam Janzi of Vola contacted me about a band called "Highproject" that has been looking for a drummer. Their bass player Stefan got in touch with me and sent me a couple of their songs and I was really impressed by the musicality, so obviously I was interested! Stefan asked me to learn a few songs and I came and auditioned. Said and done they were pleased with my performance and asked me to join their band! I got an incredibly warm welcome and I have nothing but excitement for future!
